MYS Blue Stripes 3 -v- 5 Dunbar
Despite a few decent spells during the game this was a match where we just didnt get going as a team and Dunbar punished us for that. After soaking up some early pressure from the visitors we took the lead after Josh did well to follow in an Arran Currie shot which the keeper failed to hold. We then had several further chances to extend out lead but either missed the target or shot straight at the Dunbar keeper who had a fine game in goals. Dunbar made us pay for the missed chances before half time scoring twice to take a one goal lead into the second half.
Unfortunately the second half was probably our worst team display this season with a combination of poor defending and shooting allowing Dunbar to extend their lead with only one goal from us in reply. The boys have to learn to keep their heads up in these situations because when we start passing the ball and play as a team unit we are a match for any team.
All in all just a bad day which should be written off as there have been very few of them this year. We now have 2 tough games coming up against Aberlady and North Berwick in which to redeem ourselves.
