Blue Stripes back to winning ways 4-10-09

MYS Blue Stripes 9 -v- 4 Bonnyrigg Rose FC

After being unlucky to lose last week the boys bounced back in fine style with their best performance of the season so far. The fact that we did it missing players and with no substitutes made it all the more satisfying.

Although we won comfortably in the end the first half showed our good and bad sides as we dominated possession to go 2-0 up before again giving away sloppy goals to go in at half time 3 a piece.

The boys took on the coaches words at half time and tightened up at the back although we were slow to start the second half, going a goal behind for the first time before getting a grip on the game. The passing and movement of our players at times was excellent and was praised by the opposing coaches. Paul Clark won the MOTM award with a tireless display up front grabbing the goals along with Craig, Matthew and David who also had a fine game helping us out.

Keep up the good work boys, glad to see that some of the work done in training was taken into the games as well.
